Each year, the Icelandic Marketing Association (IMARK) awards the title of Marketing Company of the Year to the company that has best demonstrated its high achievements in professional marketing. This award is highly respected within Iceland’s marketing community.
The other two finalists for the award were food and drink importer and distributer Olgerdin, and MS Iceland Dairies.
The keynote speaker at the awards ceremony was Helgi Mar Bjorgvinsson – Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Icelandair, which won the Marketing Company of the Year award in 2011.
In addition to Marel being awarded Marketing Company of the Year 2012, Liv Bergthorsdottir of Nova was presented with the award for Marketing Person of the Year 2012.
