American film director, producer and screenwriter Francis Ford Coppola is close to use the Inglenook name to rebrand his new 2009 Rubicon wine.

The newly-renamed Inglenook 2009 is a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The 2009 vintage will carry a label that will be almost similar to the post-prohibition era label.

Coppala purchased the Inglenook trademark and the entire estate in April 2011, but could not carry the name on his wines.

Coppola told Decanter.com that he spent around $14m to purchase the trademark, which was more than the amount he spent for buying the entire estate.

Rubicon Estate technical director and estate manager Philippe Bascaules said the 2009 Rubicon/Inglenook is an elegant wine with floral and complex nose, persistent flavors and concentrated texture.

The 2009 vintage is available with a price tag of $200.
