Mystique Winery & Vineyard, an Indiana-based family venture, is all set to open in Lynnville on 17 November 2012.
The winery is the brainchild of Patti Clutter, who along with her sons Seth and Zeb, planted their first vines of Niagra, Steuben, Vignoles and Chambourcin grapes in 2009.
In the meantime, the family researched on winemaking processes and began the construction of the winery facility. The new facility houses a wine production area and a visitors tasting room.
On the grand opening, the Mardi Gras-themed winery will sell seven different types of wines including the black cherry pinot noir. The winery also plans to host special events featuring artists and musicians occasionally, reported Courier Press.
Patti told the website that local small wineries have helped them take the decisions.
"If it weren't for the openness and openheartedness of these businesses, we couldn't have done this," Patti added.
Mystique Winery is a part of Southern Indiana's Hoosier Wine Trail, which includes nine wineries such as Château de Pique, Clarksville; River City Winery, New Albany; Indian Creek Winery, Georgetown; Grateful Goat, Palmyra; Scout Mountain Winery, Corydon; Blue Heron Vineyards and Winery, Cannelton; Monkey Hollow Winery, St Meinrad and Pepper's Ridge Winery, Rockport.
