Afimilk, a developer, manufacturer and marketer computerized systems for the modern dairy farm and herd management, has rolled out AfiFarm 4 software large dairies , along with an online real-time management system AfiFarm Net for multiple farms.
AfiFarm 4 enables farm managers of small-, medium- and large-herd dairies of 50 to 100,000 cows to supervise their team's activities.
The software features advanced improvements for control, diagnostics and monitoring in the milking parlor.
Modern Farming's Fedong Farm farm manager Haitao said with AfiFarm 4 system they are milking 7,000 cows with three 80-stall rotary milking parlors.
"AfiFarm 4 gives us all the data we need to manage and analyze a herd of 20,000 cows. This software allows us to collect and manage data from large herds and milking parlors at the same time," he added.
AfiFarm Net allows overall simultaneous management of an unlimited number of farms that may be located in different geographic areas without limitation, claims the company.
The online real-time management system's advanced user interface displays and compares data from multiple farms, and can deal with all relevant subjects including herd structure, fertility, health and milk production.
It also allows dairy managers to share and analyze data with external experts like veterinarians or nutritionists.
Kibbutz Afikim and Israel's private equity firm Fortissimo Capital are the two shareholders in afimilk, which makes electronic milk meters, pedometers for monitoring cows' health and online milk analyzers.
