Leading protein manufacturer, BHJ Protein Foods, and the European leader within soup stocks, Protell Foods, will unite under one corporate name: BHJ Ingredients.

As of 1 January 2013, the company names BHJ Protein Foods and Protell Foods will be united under the new common company name BHJ Ingredients.

During the last decade, the activities of both companies have gradually moved towards a common sale and marketing platform, where both soup stock and functional protein solutions are sold globally under the SCANPRO brand.

With BHJ Ingredients as a unified branding platform for both business segments, the aim is to achieve further synergies on the sales channel level and to provide the same close and flexible customer service for the SCANPRO products in more markets around the world.

“The two former company names represent a long history of growth and strong business relations towards partners and customers across the globe. We guarantee the same focus on high customer service levels and technical support under the new corporate BHJ Ingredients name,” says Asger S. Jacobsen, CEO and President, BHJ Ingredients.

For customers in the meat processing and savoury industries, BHJ Ingredients represents the concept of working with value-adding ingredients based on 100% natural animal raw materials, providing real benefits under a clean label. These benefits materialize as qualitative improvements to the end product with features like enhanced texture, increased product yield, improved viscosity and pleasant mouthfeel.
