Corn exports from Ukraine jumped 20 percent on the prior month in December to 2 million metric tons, according to the Agriculture Ministry.

Total grain shipments last month were 2.4 million tons, the Kiev-based ministry said today in an e-mailed statement.

Grain exports totaled 14.5 million tons for the marketing year begun July 1, the ministry said, without giving a comparison. Wheat accounted for 5.9 million tons of shipments, corn for 6.3 million tons and barley for 1.8 million tons.
