The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company, Inc. (A&P), has added a new line of seafood to its new Great Atlantic Seafood Market, now available in all its A&P, Superfresh, Pathmark and Waldbaum’s stores.
The new department will provide customers with seafood sourced primarily from Massachusetts-based North Coast Seafood. Described by the company as “So fresh, so healthy and so easy,” the stores will offer cleaned, seasoned and even steamed seafood for their customers. They will also offer tips for cooking and recipes.
“Seafood provides a variety of health benefits, so it’s a great way for our customers to Live Better and stick to their resolutions to get healthy,” said A&P Registered Dietitian Jacqueline Gomes. “Adding fish to a balanced diet can significantly impact a person’s overall health because it’s high in quality protein, low in fat and calories, and rich in vitamins and minerals.”
The company operates more than 300 stores in six states.
