Core Tip: Increasing water scarcity and quality pressures around the world pose a significant risk for the alcoholic beverage industry.
Increasing water scarcity and quality pressures around the world pose a significant risk for the alcoholic beverage industry. Water issues have resulted in the development of new techniques and materials to minimise water use and increase reuse and recycling where possible. Wastewater management and treatment are a significant cost for the beverage industry and managing this effectively makes good business sense.

To address the issues, Campden BRI is holding a seminar at its facilities in Nutfield, Surrey, UK. It will focus on practical issues and ways to reduce water use and maximise the efficiency of wastewater treatment, drawing on experience of speakers from the brewing and water management industries. It will feature new and existing water management technologies, focusing both on water used as an ingredient and in processing and cleaning operations, and water reuse and recycling opportunities.
