UK-based Mammy Jamia’s has announced that it will be introducing its fruit preserves in supermarkets Booths and Asda.

Mammy Jamia's jams will be stocked in all 29 Booths' outlets across the North of England, while Asda has agreed to trial fig, rhubarb, ginger and greengage in 25 of its London stores.

Currently, the brand has eight varieties of jams including fig, pear, rhubarb, apple, plum, greengage, ginger and quince, which are available in 340g jars and priced at £2.39. The jams are based on an original recipe from Sajmira's family, hence the name Mammy Jamia.

Mammy Jamia's was founded by Andrew and Sajmira Cairns in 2011. It has listings with Tesco, Waitrose and Ocado and is in talks with potential export partners to market Mammy Jamia's in Europe, the US and the Middle East.

The jams are manufactured and distributed by Kent-based Opies, a family-owned food company in the UK.
