A Georgia-based seafood company is presenting a new digital marketing platform and product launch to coincide with the Lent season.
SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Co. has revamped its website, introduced a new product, created a digital feature page, and a Pinterest contest.
“As a peak season for seafood consumption, Lent is the perfect time for SeaPak to reach out to consumers,” said Daryl Miller, director of marketing at SeaPak. “The activities we’ve planned for Lent add valuable exposure for the brand and should make SeaPak more relevant to consumers in-store and online.”
SeaPak introduced a line of heat-and-eat shrimp spring rolls, including sweet Thai chili dipping sauce. They can be cooked in 15 minues, and one serving of three spring rolls contains 170 calories and 9 grams of fat.
“This introduction fills a consumer desire for delicious shrimp spring rolls that are full of coastal flavor and can be prepared and enjoyed at home,” Miller said. “The popularity of spring rolls and the great SeaPak taste this product delivers should make it a hit with shoppers.”
Along with the new product, SeaPak also added improvements to its website, including a new homepage, enhanced product information, more social media features, and the ability to “pin” images on the social networking site Pinterest. The company has also introduced The Coastal Dish, an online monthly digital feature page with food and lifestyle tips.
“The Coastal Dish will connect with consumers on a personal level, through its engaging, conversational tone, creative ideas and fresh, easy-to-follow advice for coastal-inspired dining and living,” Miller said.
And on 20 February, SeaPak will begin inviting consumers to participate in the brand’s inaugural Pinterest contest, “Dream Dinner Party.” Participants pin their favorite images from a collection SeaPak will post. The company will then select winners at random on 25 March. The grand prize will be a USD 400 Amazon.com gift card for purchasing party supplies, and enough SeaPak product to host a party for 10 guests. Second and third-prize winners receive USD 200 and USD 100 Amazon.com gift cards.
