Belgian company KitoZyme, which specialises in plant-sourced functional ingredients, has announced the recent finalisation of a capital increase of €9 million.
The issue of new shares was underwritten by the company’s two main shareholders: the company Valois (Mestdagh Group and Montulet family) and the SRIW, the Wallonia Regional Investment Company.
This capital increase will, said KitoZyme, significantly build the company’s equity and will allow it to actively continue developing new products and its international commercial expansion.
KitoZyme provides both green and conventional food, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical players with its KiOnutrime ingredients range. KiOnutrime's ingredients are non-GMO, non-allergenic and biodegradable and are designed for applications including weight management, cholesterol management, cardiovascular health, immune health and fibre.
