For the upcoming Lenten season, Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen is bringing back its Butterfly Shrimp back to its menu.
The shrimp will be available for a limited time from 28 January to 31 March. The shrimp is slow-marinated in a blend of Louisiana seasonings, battered and fried. Served in Popeyes’ original Seafood Tackle Box, the shrimp features eight shrimp over a bed of Cajun Fries with a buttermilk biscuit.
Atlanta-based Church’s Chicken has also added new seafood items for Lent. Church’s white fish fillets are battered and cooked for is fish and chips meal. The quick service restaurant is also bringing back its battered popcorn shrimp.
Church’s seafood menu is available through 31 March.
