On Tuesday, March 26 De Jong Coldstores was declared bankrupt. The company celebrated 75 years of business only last year, but unfortunately could no longer meet its payment obligations.
The reasons given for the bankruptcy were a large debt burden on a modern cold store, which was built in Ridderkerk, the Netherlands.
The economic crisis has unfortunately not passed by unnoticed by De Jong Coldstores. Prices have been under pressure in recent years and competition is high. There are many providers in the market, sometimes operating at below the cost of function.
The company employs 52 people and operates four offices including the cold store in Ridderkerk.
