Starbucks Coffee is set expand its business across Southeast Asia with plans to open 100 new stores in Indonesia over the next three years and 100 stores in the Philippines over the next four years.
The global coffee chain currently operates over 700 stores across six countries in Southeast Asia - Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Starbucks chairman Howard Schultz said: "As we ramp up our ambitious, yet disciplined, growth momentum across Southeast Asia, we will continue to build the Starbucks brand through the lens of humanity - supporting local coffee farmers and the neighborhoods we serve, while also investing in the growth and development of our partners."
The coffee giant sources arabica coffee beans from Sumatra, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam for its stores.
Coffee beans from Indonesia are also used in Starbucks coffee blends, including Starbucks Anniversary Blend, Starbucks Thanksgiving Blend and Starbucks Tribute Blend.
Starbucks Sumatra Dark Roast Coffee is a single origin coffee used in Starbucks across the globe.
