Tata Starbucks, a 50-50 joint venture between Starbucks Coffee and Tata Global Beverages, has opened a new store in the Indian city of Bangalore, in a move to expand its footprint in the country.
The new store will serve a blend of international favorites as well as specially designed food offerings to reflect local flavors, in addition to a wide range of Starbucks signature espresso-based beverages and Starbucks VIA Ready Brew.
Starbucks China and Asia Pacific Channel Development and Emerging Brands group president John Culver said that this important city entry demonstrates the company's long-term commitment to expand across India, providing an elevated coffeehouse experience to more customers.
Tata Starbucks CEO Avani Davda said they are excited to open 30th store in the market, adding Bangalore to their growing list of cities, which includes Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Pune.
"Each new store offers the opportunity to reach more customers in India and deliver high quality arabica coffee, handcrafted beverages made by passionate baristas, extensive food offerings and legendary service," Davda added.
Meanwhile, the company is also planning to open two additional stores in the city by the end of this year.
