Blue Bell Creameries is expanding its line with Italian Cream Cake, featuring vanilla ice cream with pieces of Italian cream cake, shredded coconut, roasted pecans and a cream cheese icing swirl.
“Blue Bell is a Southern tradition and so is Italian cream cake,” said Wayne Hugo, general sales manager for Blue Bell. “We have had lots of success with flavors inspired by cakes so we figured we might just be onto something.”
Other cake-inspired flavors include Birthday Cake and Red Velvet Cake.
Italian Cream Cake ice cream will be available nationwide beginning in May.
