Dairy.com, a provider of Internet-based business solutions for dairy industry, has completed the acquisition of Blimling and Associates and its two sister companies for an undisclosed amount.
Following the transaction, each business unit continues to operate as usual. However, Dairy.com's product line long-term cream forward contracting services will be terminated gradually.
Dairy.com earlier brokered annual commodity contracts for clients. However, now it will provide market intelligence and strategy that will allow customers to make independent cream contracting arrangements.
All the other technology and services for the client's supply chain management strategy will be available under one roof.
Dairy.com CEO Scott Sexton said to maintain top-notch service and protect customer-specific information, they are operating as one company with two divisions.
"Nothing has changed in the way we operate. Confidential customer data continues to be maintained and protected in the Services division or Technology division, wherever it originates," Sexton added.
"Over time we look forward to developing new solutions that leverage the capabilities of both organizations.
"Ultimately, we want to become the industry's best, one-stop source for market intelligence and the technology platform for dairy commodity movements," Sexton concluded.
Dairy.com helps manage, trade and move bulk dairy commodities through its web-based technology platform. Blimling and Associates provides market intelligence, publications and risk management solutions for dairy industry.
