China Resources Vanguard, a flagship operating supermarket chains of China Resources, plans to expand its retail network by opening 80 new stores by the end of 2016.
Of the proposed 80 new stores, the chain will open 50 Ole stores and 30 BLT shops.
The Hong Kong-based retailer intends to open 10 stores in Chongqing and Chengdu province in 2013 under the expansion, reported Ecns.cn.
In 2012, China Resources Vanguard opened 782 new stores and reported total sales of CNY94.1bn ($15.35bn).
China Resource Vanguard currently operates 4,425 stores in China.
Besides Ole and BLT brands, the retailer also owns other brands such as Vanguard, Suguo, Fun2, Chinese Arts & Crafts, CRare, V>nGO, Voi_la!, VIVO and Pacific Coffee.
