Swiss food company Nestlé is set to open two facilities in China next month, in order to take advantage of the increasing demand in the country.

Greater China chairman and chief executive officer Roland Decorvet was quoted by the Bloomberg as saying that the company will open a food factory in Anhui province and another coffee plant in Shandong province.

Nestlé will open the new food plant in partnership with Yinlu Foods, in which the Swiss company holds a 60% stake.

The new food plant, which is located in Chuzhou city, will increase Yinlu Foods' capacity by 25%. It will be Yinlu Foods' fourth facility in China.

In 2011, Nestlé acquired a majority stake in Yinlu Foods, which specialises in manufacture processed and prepared foods and beverages including ready-to-eat canned rice porridge and peanut milk, and became its parent and primary shareholder.

The new coffee plant in Shandong will be Nestlé's second coffee extraction facility in the China and will double the company's coffee production capacity in the country over the next two years.
