Felix Solis Avantis, a Spain-based holding company responsible for the logistics, common services and commercialisation of the wineries of Felix Solis and Pagos del Rey, is to expand its business by renovating its facility in Valdepenas, Spain and building a new bulk and bottled wine facility in Chile.
Increasing demand for Chilean wines in Europe and Asia, particularly in China, is said to have been prompted the company to build the facility.
Felix Solis Avantis export and marketing director Felix Solis Ramos was quoted by the drinks business as saying that he was hoping to build a facility in Chile from the ground up or possibly buy an existing winery.
"It will be a brand new business," he added.
"We will have something [in Chile] in the next two years."
The company is also planning to invest €50m to expand its business in Spain, including updating its winery in Valdepenas in the next five years.
The winery at Valdepenas currently produces around 280 million liters of wine, including the Viña Albali label.
Solis told the website that it would become one of the most modern and technologically advanced winery in Europe.
