Coca-Cola Bottling Co Consolidated (CCBCC) has expanded its sales and distribution center at 4022 Integrity Drive in Roanoke County, Virginia.
The bottler invested around $7m on this 36,000ft² expansion project which is aimed at making room for further improvement of the manufacturing space and efficiency of shipping customer orders across the region.
Company spokeswoman Alison Patient said that around 125 employees will be relocated from Coca-Cola Bottling's plant in downtown Roanoke to the expanded facility on Integrity Drive.
CCBCC operations senior vice president Dave Hopkins told wsls.com: "The project at the Roanoke Sales & Distribution Center is an excellent example of the investments we make for productivity improvements, which are vital to maintain the leadership role in our industry."
CCBCC operates in 11 states, primarily in the Southeast, with corporate offices located in Charlotte, NC. The bottler has five production centers and 47 distribution centers throughout nine states and employs approximately 6,000 people.
