American doughnut chain Krispy Kreme’s franchise partner, Taco Holding, is set to open its 100th doughnut shop in Cancun, Mexico on 6 July.
The new outlet will feature Krispy Kreme's new international cafe style store design, including hot doughnuts, barista specialists, a kid's zone and a convenient drive-thru.
In December 2012, Taco Holding opened the 500th international Krispy Kreme store in the city of Aguascalientes.
Taco currently operates Krispy Kreme stores in Mexican cities including Mexico City, Puebla, Cuernavaca, Monterrey, Leon, Guadalajara, and Aguascalientes.
Since opening its first international location 12 years ago, Krispy Kreme has strategically expanded its brand footprint into 21 international markets across Latin America, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, India and the UK.
The company is also looking to expand its presence in Moscow, Singapore, and Taiwan as the company continues to grow its international presence in key markets around the world.
