Global Franchise Architects (GFA), a quick service restaurants (QSR) chain, plans to open 35 new stores across South India in 2013 with an estimated outlay of INR400m ($6.71m)

The company operates Pizza Corner, Cream and Fudge, The Donut Baker and Coffee World brands.

Majority of the investment will be into Pizza Corner, which contributes more than 50% of GFA's business in the country.

The company also plans to open 10 new Cream and Fudge outlets, besides opening Coffee World and The Donut Baker outlets across India

GFA global CEO Joseph Cherian said the company has so far invested about INR200m ($3.3m) for the expansions this year and most of them will be company-owned outlets.

Majority of the company's stores are franchise stores and are located in south and east India.

GFA is looking to expand into north and west and is scouting for master franchises, Cherian added.
