Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market here said Wednesday it plans to send food trucks out to stores in California, Arizona and Nevada during the summer that will offer free samples of spicy items made with private-label products.

Picnic tables will be available, along with musical acts and other events, including free chair massages under a "Take It Easy" tent and a "Meals Made Easy" tent where consumers can talk to a nutritionist about meal ideas and healthy eating tips. In addition, a Fresh & East worker will help customers find the products needed to recreate the food truck menu offerings, which will include chicken tacos, soyrizo tacos, Thai turkey lettuce wraps, bleu cheese sliders and mango carnitas stuffed peppers.

The truck is scheduled to stop at about four stores a week and may also visit other local events, the company said.

The Fresh & Easy Street Fair was set to begin Thursday at a store in Whittier, Calif., and continue Friday at a store in Downey, Calif., with appearances in Norwalk and Long Beach, Calif., on Saturday and Sunday. Next week the truck will visit four locations in Orange County, Calif., then will stop in San Diego the following week, in Phoenix the first week of August, in Las Vegas the second week of August, followed by stops in Los Angeles, Ventura, Calif., and California's Central Coast and San Joaquin Valley later in the month, and wrapping up the first week of September in the Bay Area.
