Inglewood Estate, a St Helena, California-based vineyard and winery, has been purchased by David Sinegal, the son of Costco co-founder and former CEO James Sinegal, for around $20m from former owners Doug and Jane Wolf.
The 30 acre estate contains around seven acres planted with vines, stone winery with tasting room, 5,500-case permit, main residence, guest house, pool, tennis court, sports field, exercise studio, lake, olive orchard, gardens and privacy.
According to County Recorder documents, Alton Williams first purchased the estate in 1879 and planted his first vineyard with 25 acres in vines in 1881 and its first harvest was in 1884, reported Napa Valley Register.
Williams then built a winery with annual production capacity of 20,000gal and a wine cellar with a stone foundation. He later sold the property to Adolph Siebrecht of San Francisco.
The estate later changed many hands before being purchased by the Wolf family in 1996.
According to the reports, the new owners will do the business as Sinegal Family Estate, which is currently being managed by David.
