Quiznos, quick service restaurant (QSR) chain, has made its debut into Russian market by opening its two stores in the St. Petersburg, the first of hundreds of Quiznos planned to open in Russia over the next 10 years.
This move is part of the chain's strategy to expand globally and follow Quiznos' recent international development announcements, including expansion into Mexico.
QSR Russia, the company's franchise partner, plans to open more than 60 outlets in St. Petersburg and more than 50 outlets in Moscow in the next five years.
Additional 500 Quiznos outlets are scheduled to open throughout Russia by 2023.
Quiznos intends to open more than 1,000 outlets in over 40 countries by 2020.
Quiznos International president Kenneth Cutshaw said, "QSR Russia, our Franchise partner, has an aggressive timeline to open hundreds of Quiznos across Russia in the coming years that works well with our expansion plans."
Denver-based Quiznos presently operates in 50 states and 30 countries.
