ADM Agri-Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM), has completed the expansion of its canola seed receiving capabilities at its facility in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada.

The expansion includes new storage and receiving facilities as well as the addition of two drive-thru seed unloading kiosks. The kiosks are simple to use and will improve the speed and accuracy of the receiving process, the company said.

ADM Agri-Industries Lloydminster manager JP Montalvo said that with the addition of the two new kiosks and expanded storage and receiving capabilities, the company is witnessing drastically reduced wait times.

"Farmers delivering canola seed to our facility can now get in, get out, and get back to running their businesses faster than ever," Montalvo added.

The kiosk installation marks the completion of a series of improvements designed to offer more convenient business solutions for area farmers, the company said.

ADM Agri-Industries Lloydminster began the seed receiving expansion project in early 2012. The project included the construction of four new storage bins that nearly doubled the facility's capacity, and a second receiving system, which significantly reduced unloading times.
