Bureau Veritas receives LEED Gold certification for Indian laboratory

Bureau Veritas has been awarded LEED Gold certification from the US Green Building Council (USGBC) for its Consumer Products Services' laboratory in Noida in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

With this certification, Noida lab has become the first product testing laboratory in India to be certified so.The laboratory offers a wide range of services including testing, audit, inspection and training for the food, textile, apparel, leather and footwear, toy, furniture, electrical and electronic appliance markets.

Developed and administered by the USGBC, LEED is the 'defacto' standard for green buildings. It addresses sustainable design criteria under six categories - sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality as well as innovation in design.

Established in 1828, Bureau Veritas is engaged in testing, inspection and certification services. The company operates 1,330 offices and laboratories in 140 countries offering services and solutions in order to ensure that their products, infrastructure and processes meet standards and regulations in terms of quality, health and safety.
