The Kraft Foods Group will invest $40 million to expand its ready-to-drink beverage plant in Granite City. Specifically, the company will add four pouch filler lines and related processing equipment.
The plant currently employs 410 and the expansion will add 30 jobs. Equipment installation is scheduled to occur in 2014.
Kraft acquired the Granite City plant in 1991 and has expanded it several times, including the construction of a warehouse in 2001.
