Switzerland-based beverage packaging provider Sidel has installed a complete aseptic PET packaging line for Thailand-based start-up firm General Beverage.
The packaging line has been installed in General Beverage's $160m production plant in Bangkok, which is being developed in three different phases.
The phase I of the plant, which is already completed, includes a Sidel SBO20 Universal2eco blow moulder featuring Ecoven that reduces energy consumption.
Sidel PET packaging line will produce a nutritional drink with high dietary fiber, yogurt and milk in a 280ml format, as well as green tea and juice in 350ml format.
The phase II of the plant is slated for completion in mid-2014, while the phase III will be completed in the next five years.
Sidel South East Asia Pacific sensitive products business development manager Kongkiat Ramphaisri said, "We have worked closely with General Beverage to evaluate their products' characteristics, packaging materials, bottle designs and aseptic filling technologies.
"This has ensured we can provide the highest quality, hygiene and food safety, together with optimum efficiency of the production line."
