Reed's, a US-based maker of sodas, has expanded the distribution of its Culture Club Kombucha soda line to around 1000 The Kroger chain of supermarkets across the US.
Store banners that will carry Kombucha are Kroger, Ralph's, Fred Meyer, Dillon's, Smith's and Fry's.
Culture Club Kombucha soda is a blend of Oolong and Yerba Mate teas brewed in spring water. It offers enzymes, probiotics and organic acids that detoxify, energize and balance the body.
It is available in eight flavors - Goji Ginger, Hibiscus Ginger Grapefruit, Lemon Ginger Raspberry, Cranberry Ginger, Pomegranate Ginger, Coconut Water Lime, Passion Mango Ginger and Cabernet Grape.
Reed's founder and CEO Chris Reed said that they continue to grow their partnership with Kroger nationally.
"Kroger, the largest supermarket chain in the U.S., determined that consumer demand for Kombucha and probiotic beverages in the mainstream supermarket channel is expanding rapidly," Reed added.
"We look forward to developing the Kombucha category with Kroger and driving sales."
