Youngevity Essential Life Sciences, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Youngevity International, has agreed to acquire certain assets and liabilities of a global food company GOFoods Global, for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition will provide Youngevity distributors and customers with access to GOFoods Global's nutritious extended shelf-life food products, while the latter's distributors and clients will gain access to over 500 products offered by Youngevity including nutritional products, sports and energy drinks, health and wellness-related services, lifestyle products, gourmet coffee, skincare and cosmetics.

GOFoods markets quick fix, extended shelf-life food products in the US and Canada through its active independent business owners.

The company's products include entrées, bakery goods, breakfasts, and beverages which do not contain MSG, GMO's, trans fats, and hydrogenated oils and are gluten-free, soy-free, irradiation free, lactose-free and vegetarian products. All the products feature the OU (Orthodox Union) Kosher certification, vegetarian, and the Nutriversal Seal of Approval.

GOFoods president and founder Brad Stewart said the accelerating effect of Youngevity's growth strategy is nothing short of remarkable.

"GOFoods is proud to be a part of the Youngevity family and we can now offer the best nutritional and lifestyle products available anywhere while expanding our company's short and long-term goals associated with clean and safe food," Stewart added.

Youngevity International CEO Steve Wallach said the GOFoods acquisition will expand the company's presence in the food and wellness market.

"We proudly welcome GOFoods Global to our growing Youngevity family and we anticipate an enthusiastic response as we provide our distributors and customers with more high quality product and service offerings," Wallach added.
