The company said that the investment secures its access to high quality raw materials from a wide range of South American fruit varieties and opens up new potential for the development of innovative food and beverage applications.
Mais Fruta has been manufacturing and distributing frozen fruits and fruit products for the food and beverage industry since 1990. Frozen purees in small packaging sizes and ingredient systems for the ice cream industry complete the portfolio today. Located in Jarinu, 150 km from the city of São Paulo, this second production site provides fast and direct access to the most important customers and new business opportunities, said Döhler. From here, frozen purees and fruit juice compounds, fruit preparations for the ice cream industry and ready-to-mix fruit juice blends for cocktails like Caipirinha are distributed to retail and food service customers throughout Brazil.
For the time being, Mais Fruta will continue to operate its business activities as before.
