Gregory D. Flack, president, chief executive officer and chief operating officer of the Schwan Food Co., will step down on Oct. 4. The company said it has conducted a search for a new c.e.o. and will announce Mr. Flack’s replacement “in the near future.”

Mr. Flack has been president and c.e.o. of Schwan for the past five years and is a member of the board of directors.

“We are grateful to Greg for his 26 years of leadership and service to The Schwan Food Co.,” said Allan Schuman, chairman of the board. “Everyone who is associated with the company believes in its unlimited potential for growth in the markets it competes in. I am confident that the new chief executive officer will share the company’s vision for the future and continue to strengthen the business as it moves forward.”

The Schwan Food Co. is a manufacturer of branded frozen foods that are sold at retail, food service and through the company’s home delivery business. Notable brands the company owns include Schwan’s, LiveSmart, Red Baron, Freschetta, Tony’s, Mrs. Smith’s, Pagoda Express and Edwards.
