Nestle USA will invest $72 million for the addition of a seventh beverage processing line at its manufacturing plant in Anderson. The new line will increase production capacity for the company’s Boost nutrition drink and Carnation Breakfast Essentials beverage. The new line is projected to be operational in 2014.

Opened in 2009, the Nestle Anderson plant also produces Coffee-Mate non-dairy creamer and is the sole production site for Nesquik ready-to-drink beverages in the United States. It also serves as a storage and distribution center for other refrigerated Nestle products, including Nestle Toll House refrigerated cookie dough and Buitoni pastas. The plant employs more than 700, according to the company.
