Makro Labelling UK has secured a supply order for a two station self adhesive labeling machine from a natural mineral water brand in the country.
As per the agreed terms, the company will be labeling seven different bottles, 330cl, 500cl and 750cl both glass and PET, along with a 1 liter PET bottle.
Makro Labelling claims that the new machine will apply a single label that is around 70% wraparound, at a speed of 21,000 bph.
Commenting on the deal, Makro Labelling UK managing director Richard Portman was quoted by packagingeurope as saying that the two-station machine has been chosen so that the label stations are running in tandem continuously and will be installed prior to the rinser filler block.
"This latest order for Makro UK means that we will now be labeling products in all the main sectors of the UK beverage market, wines, spirits, soft drinks, mineral water, beer and cider, in both glass and PET, which very much mirrors the success that Makro has enjoyed across the globe in these sectors," added Portman.
