The Jack Daniel Distillery, a US-based whiskey manufacturer, has launched Master Distiller #1 bottle, the first in a limited edition series, in retail stores across the US .
The limited time offering was previously available at only duty-free shops and in Tennessee.
The suggested retail price of a 86-proof, 750ml bottle package is $24.99.
Jack Daniel Distillery group brand director Phil Epps said that throughout the history of Jack Daniel's there have only been seven master distillers.
"They have all been dedicated to the craft of good whiskey making and following Mr. Jack's guiding words of 'every day we make it, we'll make it the best we can," added Epps.
The new limited edition series will recognize seven distillers who have been associated with the distillery in its history of nearly 150 years ago. Master Distiller #1 is named after founder and first distiller Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel.
The collection comes in a gift box with each bottle numbered on the back label and the chronological ranking of the designated individual on the front label.
