Pie Face, an Australian bakery-café chain, has inked a franchise deal with Foodmark, the hospitality arm of Landmark Group, to expand its footprint across the Middle East region.
As per the agreed terms, Foodmark will open a minimum of 100 Pie Face outlets across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar over the next 10 years.
Commenting on the deal, Foodmark COO Kieran Mallon said that Pie Face is a globally unique concept with fantastic product, a quirky brand, a fantastic business model, and an experienced management team.
"We look forward to making this an iconic brand and delighting customers in the Middle East with a completely new offering," added Mallon.
Landmark Group's Foodmark brand was established in 2007 and operates a number of internationally franchised restaurants within the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar.
Pie Face, which made a foray into international markets in 2012, is also looking to enter Indonesia, Japan, India and Canada markets.
