Australian pie restaurant franchise Pie Face has announced plans to open its first free-standing drive through store in Nerang in Queensland.
The new store, which is set to open on 27 September 2013, will be open 24 hours.
“We have been working on this new store format for two years and it’s extremely exciting to see it come to fruition in Queensland,” said Andrew Lyme, Commercial Manager for Pie Face. “We have two more drive through stores in the pipeline, one in Brisbane and another in Sydney, which we plan to open in the coming months,” he said.
Pie Face said the new store format will allow it to access both the morning and evening commuter rush.
If the Australian stores are successful, Pie Face said it plans to launch this format in other global markets, including New Zealand and the US.
