Visitors to WILD's stand at Anuga will find natural solutions for the confectionery industry, which will give new momentum to the segment. Superb taste is WILD’s top priority. Whether for hard candies, chocolate, fillings, or chewing gum, WILD has innovative concepts for food in its portfolio.

At Anuga, WILD, the ingredients expert, will be presenting a new range of cherry flavors, creative ideas using mint, tasty fillings with natural sweeteners, and innovative color solutions.

A variety of tastes with cherry

According to Innova’s market research, cherry is one of the five most popular fruit flavors for confectionery. WILD has added a range of natural cherry flavors to its portfolio. The flavors assortment includes sour, sweet, black and amarena cherries. Manufacturers can now offer a more extensive flavor range and adapt their products to regional preferences. A further advantage is that the products in WILD's “Cherry Stars” portfolio meet and exceed the trend for natural flavors. These cherry flavors can be used for hard candies as well as jelly and gum confectionery.

Mint: fresh and fruity

WILD refreshes the palette with innovative mint concepts: at Anuga, WILD, the Great Taste expert, is presenting new developments for tablets, chewing gum and chocolate. The acquisition of the A.M. Todd Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of natural mint ingredients, allows WILD to offer an extensive portfolio of natural mint flavors.

For tablets, WILD opts for a mix of fruit and mint flavors. WILD has developed variants made of pure mint as well as fruity flavors with pineapple, cherry and melon. Sugar-free solutions are sweetened using Sunwin Stevia™ – the innovative ingredient from a natural source.

WILD also has new ideas for those who prefer chocolate: natural mint variations allow for new products to supply an assortment for the growth of filled chocolates. The fresh hint of mint complements the bitter taste of chocolate very effectively. Possible taste options are fruity mint with orange, creamy mint, and peppermint. The products are also suitable for biscuit and cake coatings.

Sensation Flavors for chewing gum are also a new addition to the portfolio: flavors with a “mouthwatering effect”. These are excellent for combining with many different fruit and mint aromas. They promise an intensive and exciting taste experience – just like all WILD's other new concepts.

Naturally sweet fillings

WILD's Sensation Fillings allow creativity to manufacturers for the hard candies segment. The unique aspect of these fillings is that they are all based on Fruit Up®, a natural fruit extract which WILD developed as an alternative to the standard sugar sweetener. At Anuga, WILD is presenting several flavors in the Sensation Fillings range: a version of the Hugo cocktail made of elderberry flowers and mint, the combination of bitter orange and spices – similar to the fashionable Spritz aperitif – and a type of cola with lemon and cinnamon.

Red, green and orange for food

Whether coloring foodstuffs or colors from natural sources, WILD's Colors from Nature™ offer many different shades for food products. WILD has developed a new shade of green in its colors from natural sources range. It is excellent for use in dragées and tablets. The anthocyanin powder made of red cabbage and safflower extract has the additional benefit in that it does not contain either aluminum or copper.

WILD has also added new alternatives from natural sources to its red color spectrum. A color from red radish gives a powerful strawberry red. For a shade of red with a pinkish-mauve hue, WILD has created a color from purple sweet potatoes.

Clear orange blends for hard candies and fruit gums are new to WILD's portfolio for coloring foodstuffs. Different, nuanced orange colors can be used so that the shades precisely reflect the flavor of the product. Manufacturers can also promote their goods as “clean label” products.
