A year after Freshgro launched their Chantenay sliced carrot in a snack pot for leading ‘food to go’ retailer ‘Pret A Manger’, along with a children’s lunch box snack pack for Keelings, Ireland, they have added to the range of pre-cut veg on offer.

Chantenay carrot

Continuing on the snack front, the company now has new Chantenay carrot Just For Kids Snack Packs. These are available now in Morrisons for just 80p per pack.

Chantenay carrots taste ‘the way carrots used to taste’ and the flavour, freshness and juiciness has been retained when pre sliced thanks to an innovative new cutting machine which gently ‘shaves’ the carrots rather than peeling them; this also has health benefits as many of the nutrients in a carrot are to be found either in or directly under the skin. The carrot is then vertically sliced so it keeps its distinctive Chantenay carrot shape.

Targeting the Christmas market, Freshgro has also launched two ready prepared roasting trays of fresh Chantenay carrots and parsnips, both featuring a delicious mustard and honey glaze into Lidl. All the consumer needs to do is brush the veg with the glaze and pop in the oven.
