Professional Packaging Services’ (PPS) reputation for producing innovative packaging for the global drinks market has led to a new contract with Maxxium Russia.
The brief to design two gift packs for The Famous Grouse was given to PPS by the Russian operation of the worldwide drinks distributor.
Working in partnership with the graphic design agency in London, PPS created two carry packs, one to contain three 70cl bottles, the other for a bottle and two glass pack.
The three pack was designed with a large aperture on the front panel to give the bottles visibility and to enable the customers to touch the bottles. The design incorporates a smaller image of the three bottles which is highlighted with spot UV varnish to emphasise the branding.
The second design carries one bottle of The Famous Grouse and two glasses, which are secured with flocked VAC inserts. To enable the pack to be displayed in an open position on shelf, the lid can be placed underneath the base. A square badge logo attached to the lid has been designed so that it can be rotated, ensuring it is the right way up irrespective of whether the lid is used on the top or bottom of the box.
Once produced, PPS delivered the boxes to Tallin for co-packing.
Ekaterina Kolesnik of Maxxium Russia said, “In addition to its creativity, PPS’ reaction times and commitment to meet our challenging deadlines in time for the Christmas market, has been most impressive.
“We are delighted with the end result and we are looking forward to working with PPS on further exciting projects in the future.”
