Launching their Pizza Margherita and Tangy Cheese flavours with major UK retailers in January 2014, ZOOBs is set to start a trend for a whole new healthy snacking market targeted at kids aged between five and ten years old.

ZOOBs is made from a unique blend of vegetables, 30% less fat and 40% less salt than standard maize snacks, providing a healthy and tasty alternative to other crisps and snacks and is ideal for lunch boxes, after school snacks and mum won’t mind finishing off the rest!

Printpack’s state-of-the-art flexo print quality has brought the packs (designed by Manchester based agency Cube3) to life, the vibrant orange background leaps off the shelf whilst the life-like product graphics look good enough to eat.

Kooks Snacks owner, Geoff Marsden said: “We wanted to provide a mainstream healthy snacking alternative for the five to ten year old market. We needed a pack that would engage with both mums and kids alike. Printpack’s advanced flexo print quality is vital to the success of our on shelf appeal and we are absolutely delighted with the finished product.”

Ben Thistlethwaite, Kooks Snacks commercial director added: “To accompany the product launch we have developed an exciting promotional programme, supported by an interactive website, social media campaign, PR and sampling. Printpack’s first-rate execution of the brief has produced a stunning pack that will help launch our campaign and reach out to our target purchaser and consumer.”

ZOOBs are part of Kooks Snacks ‘Kids Healthier Snacking’ campaign and the company has comprehensive new product development projects underway. Printpack’s Key Account Manager Ian Thorne said: “At Printpack we are a health conscious organisation and operate an extensive Health & Wellness Programme for all our associates and their families.
