Australian grown Love Beets® beetroot is peeled, cooked fresh and packed so they are ready to eat.

These ready to eat baby beetroot will be available in the supermarkets from February 2014 in packs of 250g.

Love Beets® are 100% beetroot, no sugar, salt or additives - just naturally sweet baby beetroot. No more purple fingers from peeling beetroot, consumers can simply cut open the pack and add the beets to a salad, roast them in the oven, make juice, soups and dips, or even add them to a chocolate cake.

Beetroot is also an incredibly healthy addition to any meal, with antioxidants, carotenoids and flavonoids which have been reported to help reduce absorption of LDL or ‘bad’ cholesterol into the bloodstream, soluble fibre, which has also been shown to reduce cholesterol absorption, Nitrates, which have been proven to boost stamina so muscles can work harder, Mineral silica that has been reported to help the body utilise calcium and Folate which is great for expectant mothers.

Beetroot is virtually fat free and low in calories, and has a low GL (glycaemic load) which means it is converted into sugars very slowly and therefore helps to keep blood sugar levels stable.

Love Beets® is produced by One Harvest, an Australian family-owned and operated business. One Harvest also has three factories in Brisbane, Perth and Bairnsdale and make a variety of salad bags, kits and bowls, value-added vegetables, prepared deli salads and fresh chilled meals.
