Cora Seeds isyellow long day early onions pleased to introduce a brand new product in its range of yellow long day early onions - CRX 2381 F1. Biotechnologies supporting breeding and research were very effective and the team at Cora Seeds is waiting for positive feedback.

CRX 2381 are onions with cycles between 90 and 95 days. They have an excellent golden colour and plant development is homogeneous and uniform, thus guaranteeing excellent results for those commercial farms using the latest cultivation and harvesting technology.

They also have a good shelf-life and they are early, so they can be put on the market earlier and gain better prices. CRX 2381 F1 are very competitive also mid-season or even in winter.

Often, early hybrids remain stocked in commercial farms and loose their value when they have to compete with late varieties, but this will not be a problem with CRX 2381, as the standard level of the produce is higher during the whole cycle.

This in turn means that packagers and retailers will work with a homogeneous product for many months and meet the needs of consumers.

The high percentage of monocentre means grades are uniform and bulbs are deep round. The variety was already tested in the US, and feedback was very positive.

This hybrid is early, competitive and with a long shelf-life - Italian research can be a winner worldwide.

Indications

Very uniform and monocentre, ideal for the European market (800,000/1,000,000 seeds/ 60-80 mm bulbs). Very early and colourful: ideal to be introduced on the market early and also to be sold together with late varieties if the price at the beginning of the season is not interesting.
