US-based Middleby has purchased manufacturer of beverage dispensing systems Automatic Bar Controls.
Automatic Bar Controls offers Wunder-Bar equipment solutions, which includes products used for the dispensing of carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks, iced tea and other beverages by restaurant chains, convenience stores, and foodservice operations.
Middleby chairman and CEO Selim Bassoul said that with this acquisition, Middleby expands its presence in beverage equipment with a brand.
"Wunder-Bar brings to Middleby a portfolio of products and expertise to address our customer needs in this area of their business," Bassoul added.
"We are excited about the addition of the Wunder-Bar brand to our portfolio of innovative foodservice equipment and believe there are significant opportunities to grow this business by leveraging existing Middleby customer relationships and our strong international presence."
Middleby develops, manufactures, markets and services a broad line of equipment used in the commercial, industrial processing and residential markets.
