The Australian Government is developing a White Paper to boost agriculture’s productivity and profitability.
The White Paper on the Competitiveness of the Agriculture Sector will drive the long-term agricultural policies of the Australian Government and ensure Australia’s agriculture sector remains a significant contributor to the economy and local communities.
It will identify pathways and approaches for growing farm profitability and boosting agriculture’s contribution to economic growth, trade, innovation and productivity.
A taskforce has been established within the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet to develop the White Paper.
The Minister for Agriculture and the Department of Agriculture are working closely with the taskforce to support the development of the White Paper.
