ging Innovations in Hamburg, Jowat AG is introducing a comprehensive range of adhesives for the manufacture and finishing of packaging materials.Bonding of clear folding boxes
For the manufacture of clear folding boxes, Jowat AG is supplying a hot melt that will not develop bubbles, neither during adhesive application, nor in the crosslinking process. The high UV stability ensures excellent transparency. This adhesive of the product family of Jowatherm-Reaktant® allows to bond all standard plastics with superior durability and strength. The composition meets the demands of the food contact regulations under EU10/2011 and FDA 175.105.
High gloss lamination
Solvent-free and environmentally compatible – this describes the adhesive portfolio of Jowat AG for high gloss lamination. These water-based dispersion adhesives can be processed with or without crosslinker and exhibit an excellent application performance, also when applied by doctor roller systems. Foil delamination effects which may result from mechanical stresses (like embossing, grooving etc.) can be excluded. Crosslinkers that are classified as safe according to food contact regulations round off this range of products.
Labelling
The innovative adhesive formulation of the Jowat-Toptherm® products for labelling prevents any bleed-through even when thin paper labels are used. These adhesives represent the leading edge of technology, with low application grammages high strength levels are reached. Even after long storage periods or climate changes, the undesirable “wet label“ effect will not appear. The products meet the demands of the food contact regulations under EU10/2011 and FDA 176.170 and also of the German BfR recommendations XXV and XXXVI.
Bonding of cartons and folding boxes
The newcomers among the Jowat-Toptherm® family have been formulated especially for bonding cartons and folding boxes. They are designed to be processed at high line speeds and are compatible with all standard application systems. The precise and clean application with nozzle systems and a minimal pressing time of less than one second facilitate efficient manufacturing processes.
