French firm Sodiaal yesterday confirmed that their merger with fellow dairy group 3A was finally completed.
In use of last year, the groups announced their intention to join forces in order to "combat expected changes in the dairy industry" with the end of EU mil quotas just around the corner in 2015.
Sodiial is France's largest dairy cooperative, and in 2012 their sales reached €4.4 billion. With the merger of these two companies, the combined milk production is expected to exceed 5 billion litters, and $6.8 billion.

3A produces frozen deli goods, yoghurt, why and a broad portfolio of cheeses.
