Bakoma, a Polish yogurt manufacturer, has bought a Flexline FL 8/8 CA cup filling machine from packaging solutions provider Oystar.

Flexline FL 8/8 CA fills and seals preformed cups with Bakoma's milk products. It achieves a production rate of up to 38,400 cups per hour.

The dairy has already installed three BK series cup filling and sealing machines from Oystar Hamba and two form, filling and sealing machines from Oystar Hassia at its manufacturing plant outside Warsaw.

These machines are equipped with an attached final packaging system from Oystar A+F.

Oystar stated that all the movements are servo-controlled, which allows to control the filling curves or filling quantities through the control panel and then saved as dispensing formulas.

Cups are cleaned with ionized air and suctioning to remove any particles, then they are sterilized with peroxide and dried with sterile air.

Pre-punched cover plates sterilized with peroxide are used to seal the cups. The foil lid stations are equipped with automated changeover devices in order to achieve uninterrupted production.

Before the cups are removed by an integrated packer, the tightness of the foil seal is examined.
